"LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW" (AND FREEZING RAIN). We got hit by a bad snow storm over the weekend. It sure made a mess of things but it does "LOOK A LOT LIKE CHRISTMAS". Enough of the pun on words. Since it is Christmas time I thought that I would share some of my Christmas card pictures of the past. The above picture was taken in 1997 of my then 2 1/2 year old son. I had just put up the Christmas tree and nativity set. The only lights on in the room were the tree lights, nativity lights and a fish aquarium that does not show in the picture. He got down on the floor and started playing with the nativity set. I couldn't resist and got out the camera. This is a scan of the picture because at that time I used 35mm so it is not as clear as the original. This is what would be the start of my annual Christmas card challange (much to the dismay of my children). I try every year now to do something different which means a lot of pictures of the kids. This was taken with my "OLD FAITHFUL" Pentax K1000. I also used a 4 point starburst filter. Because of his child innocence I don't think that I could campture a better moment forever held in time.  This is one of my favorites. Tommorow night I will post Christmas card 1998 so come back and look.

As for the rest of the weddings from 2007 I will share with you tonight the wedding of Karen and Scott. This was a beautiful wedding to be held outside at the family cabin. The cabin has been in the family I believe since the turn of the century. It had been moved and resored to it's current beauty. It almost didn't happen at the cabin. About a month before the wedding our area was hit by extreme flooding . The area by the cabin had a creek that flooded. Luckily the cabin and the family house near by were surrounded by flood water but was high enough to excape damage. Many people arond the area were not as lucky. Our house itself had damage to our finished basement and we had to gut it to the brick. Well all ended up great for Karen and Scott other than a storm the night before that took out power. They had their rehearsal anyway. They always say that rain before a wedding brings luck. Hopefully They will have showers of it.

Tomorrow I will tell you about Jenna and Eric's wedding and show Christmas card 1998. Take care!
